France is a small producer of hazelnuts 11,000 tons per year (hazelnut shell), which represents no more than 1% of world production. It imports more than 20,000 tons of hazelnuts, mainly from Turkey (15,315 tons) and Italy (3,657 tons).

Hazelnuts are not produced everywhere. We have chosen to settle in its preferred basin: the South-West of France (Lot et Garonne, Duras).

The hazelnut is one of the richest oleaginous seeds in omega-9 oleic acid, the common hazelnut is interesting from a nutritional point of view because of its contribution in proteins, dietary fibers, its high rate of potassium/sodium as well as its richness in vitamin E and polyphenols antioxidants.

La Joualle: We are inspired by La Joualle, which is an ancestral system practiced in the southwest of France. La Joualle is an ecological cultivation system that combines vines growing on fruit trees and other intercrops grown between the rows of trees.
